The Ingredients

Blue Chamomile

Blue Chamomile is the element that gives Psalm 1 its signature bluish hue. This essential oil is a strong antioxidant, which means it protects against cell damage. It is also known as an anti-inflammatory, reducing redness and inflammation.

This powerful oil also heals dry skin and can even reduce signs of aging through one of its chemical compounds known as bisabolol. Bisabolol works with the cells to strengthen the skin by producing new collagen and elastin. It’s even believed to help reduce the risk of sunburn.

Juniper Berry

Juniper Berry was selected specifically for its healing strengthening properties. Not only is this oil used to heal skin irritations and infections, but because of its antiseptic qualities the oil is also used to treat acne, rashes, eczema, and other skin conditions.

Juniper Berry has a natural ability to tone skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes. This rich oil can help balance and regulate hormonal imbalance which strengthens the skin against external irritants.

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil’s reputation as a calming aromatherapy is only part of what this essential oil can do. It soothes irritated and inflamed skin, reduces sunburn irritation, and as an antioxidant,  protects the skin against environmental stressors.

Lavender oil also has antibacterial properties that can help clear pores of acne-inducing bacteria. This oil promotes healing by reducing scarring and stimulating collagen production, which also reduces signs of aging.

Sunflower Seed Oil

Sunflower seed oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores, preventing acne and breakouts. It also acts as a sunscreen, protecting the skin from harmful UV light while nourishing the skin. This oil carries strong antioxidants and vitamins helping protect the skin. It is known for its gentleness on fragile, tender, and sensitive skin.

Sunflower seed oil is made of highly efficient acids, linoleic and oleic, which care for the skin in two specific areas. Linoleic acid protects the skin from bacteria and germs while balancing moisture. Oleic acid replaces moisture, nourishing skin and reducing irritation.
